The current Climate Change crisis is a major public concern, and both Australia and New Zealand are already facing devastating summer droughts and winter cyclones, floods and landslides that scientists have predicted. Both countries have also been impacted – through the advent of Peak Oil and the end of cheap fossil fuels – by skyrocketing fuel, power and food costs.
Most of us have a genuine desire to reduce our carbon footprint by reducing our use of petrol, natural gas and electricity produced from burning natural gas and coal. At the same time we are often at a loss how to approach these major lifestyle changes. Although the marketplace is rich with innovative products and alternative technologies, consumers are often unaware of new and small vendors who lack the resources to engage in mass marketing.
